Annual Commemorative Ceremony

Organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Association – Perak Branch

A solemn occasion to remember those who lost their lives during The Emergency (1948-1960) and are buried here: Planters, Colonial Police Officers, Miners and Civilians, and a number of British and Commonwealth Troops who died in the course of duty.

When : Saturday, 12 June 2010
: “God’s Little Acre”, Christian Cemetery , Batu Gajah.

7.30 a.m.:  Service in the Chapel
8.00 a.m.:  Service at the Cemetery
Services conducted by an Anglican Minister and a small choir will be in attendance
Wreath-laying ceremony by the Royal Malaysian Police Force

The Chapel is small and the Cemetery has limited holding capacity.
Should you wish to be present, do give priority to the “old-timers”.
Individual wreaths can be laid after the ceremony.
